Manager's Message
Wednesday 10 May 2006
Our Season has ended with us in third place in the League. If you had asked me if I would have accepted that last September, I would have said yes.
We have had good days and bad days throughout the year. I have enjoyed the season and have taken a lot of pleasure in being your Manager.
Next season sees us move to Sunday morning football in the Cheshunt Youth League.
Enjoy the Summer Tournaments and enjoy the break.
Come back in August refreshed and ready for an even better season next year.
Gordon

Mark Swallow has agreed to be our Goalkeeping Coach - given the way the management team is growing it's a good job we don't pay them!
But I'm sure we all appreciate their expertise, encouragement and time.
We have booked the evening slot at the Clubhouse for our end of season presentation on Saturday 13 May (Cup Final Day!) We are sharing the evening with the under 8's squad. The under 8's parents are a very social crowd so the evening should be a good one. They are sponsored by the Richard Bacon show on Capital FM so we are hoping that the disco should be "quite good"! Gordon is hoping to get one of the Barnet team to do the Presentations as before.
Check out the latest on our own Sporting Champion - Tyrone Swaray - 2012 will be his year!
See Barnet FC meet some class players! Furzefield have introduced a new link on their site to this photo of the lads with the Barnet team and a few words from Gordon - use SHOKK link below. Does anyone else have photos of the day? Please email them to me, there is an email link at the bottom of this page, and I will set up a Photo Gallery.
The Department for Education and Skills gave this site as a source of advice for running websites dealing with children. We have produced a Parental Consent Form based on a template from that site which covers the use of players pictures on our website and that of our sponsors. Please be assured that the protection and well-being of our players is paramount to the club. Click here to download a form if you have not yet completed and signed one. Please print it out, fill it in and sign it; then hand it Gordon.
Our home pitch this season is King George V Playing Fields (behind our clubhouse).
Tuesday evening training sessions will be 6.00pm to 7.00pm on the grass behind the Furzefield Astroturf.
The Ken Grant Cup is for the Rural Friendly League Under 11's. The first round was used to get down to 32 teams. The Hertfordshire FA County Cup website has all their latest fixtures and results. We got a bye in the first round as only a few teams played to get the numbers of teams taking part balanced for the subsequent rounds. The new SHOKK Gym officially opened 14 January 2006 and we were there in the new kit for a photoshoot and to take part in the Opening Ceremony, along with Tyrone Swaray Parents, can you hack it?  Become a Soccer Parent; it's interesting - and you get a smart certificate
Have you seen the Potters Bar Crusaders Sports & Social Club website. The subs are £20 per year for family membership.
Gordon passed his Referees course and it was a real eye opener. He would recommend it to anyone that really wants to understand the Laws of the Game.
